ID3DXPatchMesh::GetTessSize

Gets the size of the tessellated mesh, given a tessellation level.

  FLOAT fTessLevel,
  DWORD Adaptive,
  DWORD * NumTriangles,
  DWORD * NumVertices
);

Parameters

fTessLevel
[in] Tessellation level.
Adaptive
[in] Adaptive tessellation. For adaptive tessellation, set this value to TRUE and set fTessLevel to the maximum tessellation value. This will result in the maximum mesh size necessary for adaptive tessellation.
NumTriangles
[out] Pointer to the number of triangles generated by the tessellated mesh.
NumVertices
[out] Pointer to the number of vertices generated by the tessellated mesh.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK. If the method fails, the return value can be one of the following: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL, E_OUTOFMEMORY.

Remarks

This method assumes uniform tessellation.
