Experiment Files

An experiment file is a collection of settings that identifies what program PIX will profile, and how to collect data for analysis. There are two ways to view an experiment: with a basic view or an advanced view.

• Experiment - Basic View - The basic view is an easy way to get started because PIX uses many default options.
• Experiment - Advanced View - The advanced view is for more advanced users, who want to customize the data collected.

After you run an experiment and collect data, you can save the results in a run file for analysis.
