Use PIX to compare the per-pixel values between two images using the image viewer. Launch the image compare tool by selecting Compare Images... from the file menu.
The image viewer looks like this when it opens.
To compare images, you must first load them. To load an image:
Click one of the source buttons (source 1 or 2).
Click on the browse button, and select a file.
Don't forget to load the second image.
Use this toolbar to manipulate the images

Use this drop down to select the comparison type . This is the logical operation used to corresponding pixels in the two images.

XOR | Exclusive-or the pixels. |
SUB | Subtract the pixels from source 2 from source 1. |
XNOR | Exlusive-or, then invert the pixels. |
