Retrieves whether the buffer has position notification capability.
Visual Basic Public ReadOnly Property ControlPositionNotify As Boolean C# public bool ControlPositionNotify { get; } C++ public:
property bool ControlPositionNotify {
bool get();
}JScript public function get ControlPositionNotify() : boolean
System.Boolean
This property is read-only.
Value that is set to true if the buffer has position notification capability; otherwise, false.
Because the virtual device driver model (VXD) does not support notifications, a sound buffer created with BufferDescription.ControlPositionNotify set to true is always a software buffer when using VXD drivers. With the Windows Driver Model (WDM), a notification-enabled buffer can be in hardware, if hardware resources are available.
