IDirectMusicSegment::AddNotificationType

The IDirectMusicSegment::AddNotificationType method is similar to and called from the IDirectMusicPerformance::AddNotificationType method, giving the segment a chance to respond to notifications. The segment calls each track's IDirectMusicTrack::AddNotificationType method.

Parameters

rguidNotificationType

Reference to (C++) or address of (C) the identifier of the notification type to add. For the defined types, see DMUS_NOTIFICATION_PMSG. Applications can also define their own types for custom tracks.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK.

If it fails, the method may return one of the following error values:

  Windows 95/98: Requires Windows 95 or later. Available as a redistributable for Windows 95.
  Header: Declared in dmusici.h.
