The D3DTEXTUREMIPFILTER enumerated type defines texture mipmap filtering modes for a texture stage.

You set a texture stage's magnification filter by calling the IDirect3DDevice3::SetTextureStageState method with the D3DTSS_MIPFILTER value as the second parameter, and one of members of this enumeration as the third parameter.
