IDirect3DDevice8::GetTexture

Retrieves a texture assigned to a stage for a device.

  DWORD Stage,
  IDirect3DBaseTexture8** ppTexture
);

Parameters

Stage
[in] Stage identifier of the texture to retrieve. Stage identifiers are zero-based. Devices can have up to eight set textures, so the maximum value allowed for Stage is 7.
ppTexture
[out, retval] Address of a pointer to an IDirect3DBaseTexture8 interface, representing the returned texture.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK.

If the method fails, the return value can be D3DERR_INVALIDCALL.

Note  Calling this method will increase the internal reference count on the IDirect3DTexture8 interface. Failure to call IUnknown::Release when finished using this IDirect3DTexture8 interface results in a memory leak.
