Applies the state settings for the specified pass of the technique.

Parameters

iPass
[in] Identifies the pass to be applied.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK.

If the method fails, the return value can be one of the following values.

D3DERR_INVALIDCALL
D3DXERR_INVALIDDATA
E_OUTOFMEMORY

Remarks

After calling Pass, the application must draw the geometry to the device to which the effect is set.
