The GetBumperLength method retrieves the amount of time between the time at which messages are placed in the port buffer and the time at which they begin to be processed by the port. For an overview of this topic, see Timing.
Syntax
HRESULT GetBumperLength(
DWORD* pdwMilliSeconds
);
Parameters
pdwMilliSeconds
Address of a variable that contains the amount of preplay time.
Return Values
If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK.
If it fails, the method can return E_POINTER.
Remarks
The default value is 50 milliseconds.
