The GetGenID method retrieves the object's generated identifier. The identifier is a reserved number; applications should not use it.
Syntax

long *pVal
);
Parameters
pVal
Pointer to a variable that receives the generated identifier.
Return Value
Returns S_OK if successful, or E_POINTER otherwise.
