IGuideStore::get_IdOf

This topic applies to Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional only.

The get_IdOf method retrieves the Guide Store identifier for an object stored in the Guide Store.

Syntax

HRESULT get_IdOf(
  IUnknown*  punk,
  long*  pVal
);

Parameters

punk

[in]  Specifies the IUnknown interface of the stored object.

pVal

[out]  Address of a variable to receive the Guide Store identifier of the object.

Return Values

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code Description
S_OK The method succeeded.
E_POINTER Data cannot be read from or written to a supplied address.
