The get_StreamTypeB method retrieves a string representing the GUID of the media type for the current stream.
Syntax
HRESULT get_StreamTypeB(
BSTR *pVal
);
Parameters
pVal
[out, retval] Pointer to a BSTR that receives a string representation of the media type GUID.
Return Value
Returns an HRESULT value. Possible values include the following:
Value | Description |
S_OK | Success. |
E_INVALIDARG | Invalid argument. |
E_POINTER | NULL pointer argument. |
Remarks
The returned BSTR is formatted like the following: {73647561-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}
The method allocates memory for the string. The application must call SysFreeString to free the memory.
Before calling this method, set the file name and stream by calling IMediaDet::put_Filename and IMediaDet::put_CurrentStream.
If the media detector is in bitmap grab mode, this method returns E_INVALIDARG. For more information, see IMediaDet::EnterBitmapGrabMode.
