IMSVidDevice::get__Category

This topic applies to Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional only.

The get__Category method retrieves the category of the device as a GUID.

Syntax

HRESULT get__Category(
  GUID*  pGuid
);

Parameters

  pGuid

[out]  Pointer to a variable of type GUID that receives the device category.

Return Values

Returns an HRESULT value. Possible values include the following.

Value Description
S_OK Success.
E_POINTER NULL pointer argument.
