The communications driver supports the RESETDEVICE, GETBASEIRQ, GETMAXLPT, and GETMAXCOM extended escapes in its cextfcn function. These extended escapes reset the printer (assert the reset line), and retrieve the maximum number of identifiers for parallel and serial ports.
