11.1 About Interrupt 13h Devices

The virtual Interrupt 13h device translates disk I/O requests into appropriate commands for the ROM BIOS, or for virtual fast disk devices that support Interrupt 13h drives. It also maps calls made by protected-mode applications into the real-mode ROM BIOS routines for a disk, ensuring that buffer addresses are translated for V86 mode before the routines are executed.

The Interrupt 13h device provides the following services:

Int13_Device_Registered
Int13_Hooking_BIOS_Int
Int13_Translate_VM_Int
Int13_Unhooking_BIOS_Int
