The virtual MS-DOS network device manages network drive connections. This management keeps MS-DOS internal drive state information and MS-DOS redirector information up to date for each virtual machine. Windows uses this virtual device to retrieve information about network software, such as whether it uses the program segment prefix (PSP) to identify tasks, and whether changes to a network drive should be broadcast.
The MS-DOS network device provides the following services:
DOSNET_Do_PSP_Adjust
DOSNET_Get_Version
DOSNET_Send_FILESYSCHANGE
