The virtual communications buffer device (COMBUFF) works in conjunction with the VCD to buffer serial port input. This device calls the VCD_Virtualize_Port service to set the virtual machine control, interrupt request (IRQ) virtualization, and I/O trapping procedures for the communications ports.
