PROBLEM ID: PRSQL9012003

SYMPTOMS

Within a DB-LIBRARY program, dbbind() fails when binding results

returned from SQL Server to variables of type NTBSTRINGBIND.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the variables occupy memory obtained by

issuing GlobalAlloc() (Windows version 3.00) or WinAllocMem()

(OS/2) calls.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DB-LIBRARY (dblib)

version 1.10. This problem was corrected in dblib version 1.11.
