SYMPTOMS
An invalid text pointer is returned from the following query:
select textptr(textcolumn) from texttable
CAUSE
This problem occurs if the text data being retrieved was sent to
the SQL Server via the BCP routines in a program using DB-LIBRARY
(dblib).
RESOLUTION
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version
1.1. This problem was corrected in DB-LIBRARY version 1.12, which
is available from Microsoft Product Support Services. For more
