SYMPTOM
The following error is received when attempting to create a
database:
Could not retrieve row from logical page xx via RID because the
entry in the offset table for that RID is less than or equal to
0. (Msg 625, Level 21, State 2)
CAUSE
SQL Server incorrectly manages the pages containing the database's
information. This error can be received when attempting to create a
database when there are already 38-41 existing databases (the exact
number varies, depending on length of database names).
RESOLUTION
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version
1.1. This problem has been corrected in SQL Server version 1.11,
which can be obtained from your primary support provider.
