SYMPTOMS

When bcp_bind() is used to bind an integer to a variable of type

char, and bcp_sendrow() is used to insert the data into the column

of type varchar(1) on SQL Server, a two-digit number is allowed to

be entered into a column defined as varchar(1).

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DB-LIBRARY (db-lib)

version 1.1. This problem has been corrected in DB-LIBRARY version

1.12, which is available from Microsoft Product Support Services.
