SYMPTOMS
While trying to connect to SQL Server through a DB-LIBRARY (dblib)
application, the process appears to hang.
CAUSE
When the default number of named pipe handles per process was
exceeded, DB-LIBRARY went into an infinite loop trying to increase
the maximum number of file handles.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DB-LIBRARY version
1.1. This problem has been corrected in DB-LIBRARY version 1.11,
which is available from Microsoft Product Support Services. For
more information, contact your primary support provider.
