SYMPTOMS
When selecting a font in Microsoft QuickC for Windows (QC/Win)
version 1.0, some fonts may not always be available.
CAUSE
When certain applications are active, they register font resources
with Windows. If these applications are active when QC/Win is
started, the fonts may appear in the Fonts menu on the tool bar,
and in the Font menu under the Option command.
RESOLUTION
Close QC/Win before starting an application that will register new
font resources with Windows.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in QC/Win version 1.0.
We are researching this problem and will post new information here
as it becomes available.
More Information:
The CLOCK utility that ships with Windows 3.0 registers the font
Digital. If CLOCK is active when QC/Win is started, Digital will
appear in the Font menu. If CLOCK is terminated, Digital will no
longer be available; if DIGITAL is selected, a default font will be
set.
