Text macros ending in space or containing ";" produce errors. The
first example produces the message "operator expected"; the second
produces "extra characters on line":

SOACEFOLLOWS equ <this is a string followed by a space>
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Version 5.00. This
problem was corrected in MASM Version 5.00a. Please call Microsoft

MASM Version 5.00a.
