Summary:

PROBLEM ID: QCW9112010

SYMPTOMS

Using /Ta or /Tc as custom options in Microsoft QuickC for Windows

(QC/Win) version 1.0 causes the following warnings:

warning D4020: unsupported switch '/Ta'

warning D4020: unsupported switch '/Tc'

CAUSE

Help in QC/Win indicates that the /Ta command-line switch can be

given to cause the compiler to spawn MASM. This is incorrect since

you cannot list .ASM files in the QC/Win project list. Also, the

QC/Win compiler will not spawn the MS-DOS version of MASM. Help

also indicates that the /Tc command-line switch can be used to

compile C files that have extensions other than .C. This is also

incorrect.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in QC/Win version

1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information

here as it becomes available.
