SYMPTOMS
After running a batch file that executes multiple NET VIEW
statements from the OS/2 system prompt, it is impossible to connect
to any network resources and the following error message occurs:
OS/2 error 69 has occurred.
SYS0069: Network BIOS session limit was exceeded
CAUSE
This is normal and expected behavior. NET VIEW makes temporary
connections to net resources using second class mailslots until the
value in the NetBIOS session table is exceeded. Although the
session table is updated periodically, it is possible to exhaust
the number of connections temporarily available through the batch
file described above. After a minute, however, the session table
should clear, and you should be able to again connect to those
resources.
