SYMPTOMS
In an object linking and embedding (OLE) client application, the
OleCreateLinkFromFile function returns the value OLE_ERROR_DRIVE.
CAUSE
The OleCreateLinkFromFile function is attempting to link to a
source file on a CD-ROM drive.
RESOLUTION
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in version 1.0 of the
OLE libraries provided with Microsoft Windows version 3.1. We are
researching this problem and will post more information here when
it becomes available.
