PROBLEM ID: PROLM9012013
SYMPTOMS
Printers defined on one server (Server_A) and redirected to another
server (Server_B) via a communication queue will exhibit any of the
following problems if Server_A is rebooted while a workstation has
submitted a job to Server_B:
1. The printer remains "offline."
2. The printer completely locks up.
3. Server_B beeps continually even after Server_A has reestablished
the share.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in LAN Manager version
2.00b. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new
information here as it becomes available.
