Summary:
Windows 3.0 defines the ExtDeviceMode escape; however, it is supported
only in a subset of the printer drivers distributed with Windows. The
following is a list of the printer drivers in the Windows 3.0 retail
release that support ExtDeviceMode:
CITOH.DRV
DESKJET.DRV
HPPCL.DRV
HPPCL5A.DRV
IBMCOLOR.DRV
IBMGRX.DRV
LBP8II.DRV
PAINTJET.DRV
PSCRIPT.DRV
TI850.DRV
TOSHIBA.DRV
TTY.DRV
The following is a list of the printer drivers in the Supplemental
Driver Library that support ExtDeviceMode:
BROHL.DRV
BROTH24.DRV
BROTH9.DRV
CANON10E.DRV
HPPCL.DRV
HPPCL5A.DRV
PSCRIPT.DRV
STARM24.DRV
STARM9.DRV
As new drivers are developed, they should support the ExtDeviceMode
escape. However, before calling it, applications should check the
driver to verify that the ExtDeviceMode function exists. For more
information, see pages 4-130 through 4-132 of the "Microsoft Windows
Software Development Kit Reference Volume 1."
