Summary:
PROBLEM ID: WIN9110007
SYMPTOMS
When Windows GDI simulates StretchBlt for drivers with more than 8
bits per pixel, the application experiences an unrecoverable
application error (UAE).
CAUSE
GDI does not allocate enough memory to properly simulate the
StretchBlt, and writes past the end of the allocated memory
segment.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows version
3.0. To avoid this problem, the video driver must support
StretchBlt, which prevents GDI from simulating it.
This problem was corrected in Windows version 3.1.
