ID Number: Q32069

MS-DOS

Summary:

In Microsoft C versions 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.0a, 6.0ax, and C/C++ version

7.0, if a compiler error is generated, and no message text is given,

the files C1.ERR and C23.ERR may not be present in the PATH.

Normally, these files are placed in the compiler's BIN directory

during installation. If these files are not present, they should be

re-installed from the original Microsoft C distribution disks.

With Microsoft C 5.1, these files may be directly copied from

Disk 1 (Setup Disk).

With Microsoft C 6.0, 6.0a, 6.0ax, or C/C++ 7.0, run the command

"setup /copy" from the Setup Disk. The Setup program will prompt for

the file to copy from the distribution disks and the destination

directory on your local drive.
