SYMPTOMS
When using a single-line edit control with a font larger than the
system default font, deleting characters with the backspace key
causes painting problems. Specifically, the lower half of a deleted
character is not removed from the screen.
RESOLUTION
This problem can be avoided by using a multiline edit control sized
to hold only one line. NOTE: Do not specify the ES_AUTOVSCROLL
style, or the multiline edit control will accept more than one line
of text.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows version
3.00. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here as it becomes available.
