Summary:

PROBLEM ID: PRSQL9103039

SYMPTOMS

When dumping a transaction log from a DOS workstation, the status

line displays "Backup in progress..." and does not complete the

backup.

CAUSE

Backing up a transaction log to a floppy disk using the Admin

Backup menu will cause this problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version

1.10. We are researching this problem and will post new information

here as it becomes available.
