SYMPTOMS
The following error message is displayed when using the two-phase
commit process:
MSG 2601, Severity 14: "attempt to insert duplicate key roll in
object 'spt_committab' with unique index commitclust".
CAUSE
The start_xact stored procedure of the two-phase commit process
does not correctly increment a counter to permit more than one
commit service to run at a time.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version
1.1a. This problem has been corrected in SQL Server version 1.11.
