Problem ID: PRSQL9112015
SYMPTOMS
The system stored procedure SP_ADDLOGIN allows for the creation of
a login ID that contains embedded spaces. However, the login ID
must follow all the rules of identifiers as described in the
"Microsoft SQL Server Language Reference," which clearly states
that "No embedded spaces are allowed in identifiers."
WORKAROUND
Do not create any login IDs that contain embedded spaces, and
replace any existing login IDs that contain embedded spaces. This
will help ensure that your server will be compatible with future
releases.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version
1.11. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here as it becomes available.
