SYMPTOMS
The following problem occurs when running SQL Server on a LAN
Manager-based network such as LAN Manager or LAN Server. While
adding SQL Server login IDs by choosing Manage Login IDs from the
SAF Admin menu, the Logon ID list box, which should include a list
of valid network login IDs from which to optionally choose SQL
Server login IDs, is empty.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server versions
1.11 and 4.2. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here as it becomes available.
