SYMPTOMS
Under low memory conditions, the LoadBitmap function causes an
unrecoverable application error (UAE).
CAUSE
Even though LoadBitmap was unable to lock the bitmap resource due
to low memory, LoadBitmap attempts to access the bitmap.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows version
3.0. This problem was corrected in Windows version 3.1.
