Summary:

On a monochrome video system, real and protected mode versions of

Microsoft CodeView (CV and CVP) do not read the color options in the

TOOLS.INI file under the CodeView tags [CV] or [CVP].

CodeView also ignores color settings if it is invoked in

black-and-white mode (/B).

This behavior is by design and is not a problem in CodeView.

More Information:

If you modify any color switches under the [CV] or [CVP] tag in the

TOOLS.INI file, they will take effect only if you are operating with a

color video system. The switches include all valid color switches for

CodeView.

On a monochrome monitor, CodeView uses default values for colors of

text, border, breakpoint, csip, and all other color switches even if

the values have been modified in the TOOLS.INI file.
