Summary:
SYMPTOMS
In the Microsoft Windows graphical environment, an attempt to load
the single-monitor version of CodeView for Windows fails with the
error message "CodeView Exiting: VCV.386 not loaded."
CAUSE
An attempt has been made to run single-monitor CodeView on a system
that is not running in standard VGA (640 x 480) mode, and the
VCV.386 file is not available.
RESOLUTION
Copy the VCV.386 file from the CodeView disk into the Windows
system directory (by default, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM). Then add the
following line to the [386Enh] section of the SYSTEM.INI file:
device=VCV.386
