SYMPTOMS
If the /HIGH switch is used with LINK versions 5.1 or 5.13, the
following error may incorrectly be produced:
LINK : error L2049: no segments defined
CAUSE
This problem is caused by a faulty check for emptiness in the .EXE
file when the /HIGH switch has been used.
RESOLUTION
The resulting .EXE file will not be affected by this error message.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in LINK versions 5.1
and 5.13. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here as it becomes available.
