Working with Graphics and Fonts

Instead of using a paint program to edit the images in your animation file, you may prefer to use the paint tool included with Director. Even though it has very few features, it is integrated into Director and any changes made get automatically adjusted in his work-in-progress. Using Director's graphics tools can save you the effort of transferring graphics between different software packages.

Fonts installed on the Macintosh may not supported on the Multimedia PC. MacroMind Director lets you use bitmaps and vector graphics to represent images and text in movies. By converting these elements to bitmaps, you can improve animation performance and avoid possible compatibility problems. Use Director's Convert to Bitmap command to change text and vector graphics to bitmaps.
