MIDI Ports

A MIDI device may have one or more of the following ports: MIDI In, MIDI Out, and MIDI Thru. Each port has a specific purpose in sending, receiving, or relaying MIDI messages between devices. This design enables you to connect multiple MIDI devices that can be controlled simultaneously.

Receive MIDI messages sent from other MIDI devices Transmit original messages generated from the device Propagate messages received on MIDI In ports to other connected MIDI devices
