Chapter 4 Basic Multimedia Techniques

The previous chapter described how to add hypertext elements to text files and transform these files into a series of topics that can be built into a title. But you probably don't want to stop with text—you'll want to add life to your title through pictures, sound, and animation. This chapter describes some easy ways to add these multimedia elements.

The descriptions in this chapter assume that you've already identified and prepared the images, sounds, and animation sequences that you want to incorporate. If you need information about preparing pictures, sounds, and animation sequences, see the Multimedia Authoring Guide in the Multimedia Development Kit (MDK), which also defines terms in this chapter.
