Creating Individual Topics

The topic is the basic building block of a Viewer title. You create topics using Microsoft Word for Windows, then save them in a topic file. The topic file must be saved in Rich Text Format (RTF) from Word.

·To create a topic file:

1.Enter the following text in Word for Windows:

Topic 1

2.Now press CTRL+ENTER to insert a hard page break. Hard page breaks separate topics in a topic file.

3.Enter the following text for the second topic:

Topic 2

Your Word screen should look like this:

All Word screens in this guide are shown as they would appear with Hidden Text and Paragraph Marks selected from the View Preferences menu.
