How Popup Windows Appear in a Title

In the sample popup screen shown below, the first paragraph includes a hot spot that displays a window for the words “Mexican War.” Hot spots for popup windows, if they are not invisible, appear within the topic text as bright green text with dotted underlines. The mouse pointer also changes from an arrow to a pointing finger when it moves over a popup-window hot spot. This mouse pointer change identifies invisible hot spots in a title.

To see the popup window, the user clicks the hot spot, which causes the window to display directly in front of the current topic, as shown in the following illustration:

The window remains displayed until the user clicks the mouse button again or presses a key.
