The REGEDIT.EXE utility is an editor that you can use to view and modify the contents of the registration database. Figure 40 shows how the Registration Editor window appears when you run REGEDIT.EXE with the /V option using the Run Command from the File menu. Figure 40 also identifies the selected keys and values in the database.

To obtain help on using the menus and commands for REGEDIT.EXE, you can choose commands from the Help menu.
Note Users can also edit and view REG.DAT with REGEDIT.EXE. REG.DAT is also modified by the Associate Command on the File menu.
