Chapter 14 Text and Fonts

Writing text to the display was one of the first jobs we tackled in programming for Windows. Now it's time to explore the use of different font sizes and learn how to justify text. This chapter is largely restricted to writing text on the video display. The subject becomes more complex when you need to write text using the printer. The printer may be capable of using a greater variety of fonts than the video display, and the characteristics of these fonts can be quite different from the characteristics of the video fonts. Therefore, the subject of text and fonts is continued in the next chapter, ”Using the Printer.“
