The Windows Graphical Development Environment is an integrated environment that runs in the Windows graphical environment. It integrates a text editor, a compiler, a linker, a debugger utility, a make utility, and an online help database. You can create both Windows and DOS applications in this environment.
To use the Windows Development Environment, you need a basic knowledge of Windows elements and concepts. If you are unfamiliar with the Windows environment, see Chapter 2, “Basic Skills,” in the Microsoft Windows User's Guide.
