The Button Bar

A series of four buttons is displayed across the top of the Help window (see Figure 6.1.). The commands on this button bar help you navigate through the online reference. (Within the online reference, other navigational aids exist. For example, graphical icons and underlined terms are links. See “Icons and Terms as Links” on page 50.)

These commands are discussed briefly in the following sections.

Contents

The Contents button opens the table of contents for help topics (see Figure 6.2). Select a topic to see a detailed table of contents for that topic.

Search

The Search button opens a dialog box that lists all the help keywords for the development environment. By typing or selecting a keyword, you can search for and go to a specific help topic on that keyword.

Back

The Back button displays the previous help topic. You can go back to any topic viewed since help was last opened.

History

The History button displays a dialog box with a list of the past help topics viewed since help was last opened (see Figure 6.3). Double-click a title to display that help screen.
