Shortcut key: CTRL+F4

The Close command closes the active window. If you have created multiple views of the window with the New Window command on the Window menu, all of these views are closed.

Before you can close a window, it must be active. To activate the window, either click the window you want to close or select the window name or number from the Window menu.

There are three ways to close a window:

From the File menu, choose Close.

Double-click the document Control-menu box.

Press CTRL+F4.
